Jodi Green

Prior to founding Legal Limits, Jodi Green spent over ten years as a practicing attorney for insurance companies and other commercial entities, from which she developed a nuanced understanding of the insurance industry and its impact on business.

As a Founder of Legal Limits and member of the Risk Management Committee of the National Cannabis Industry Association, Jodi now puts those skills to work to bridge the knowledge gap between insurance companies and the cannabis industry.

Jodi’s legal experience includes evaluating insurance for, and assisting in negotiation, mediation, and settlement of, thousands of claims, including: cannabis and vaping lawsuits; claims arising from the Las Vegas Harvest Festival shooting; sexual-abuse lawsuits totaling billions of dollars; and opioid litigation claims against pharmaceutical companies and retailers valued at trillions of dollars. Super Lawyers named Jodi as a “Rising Star” for five consecutive years.

In addition to claims evaluations and litigation, Jodi has worked with insurance underwriters, insurance brokers, and other non-profit entities (such as the American Institute of Insurance Services) in crafting and editing insurance policy forms, language, and endorsements.

Complementing her legal work, Jodi is a prolific writer and sought-out speaker on a host of topics, including insurance claims-handling, cannabis, leadership and lifestyle, and appellate issues, for in-house corporate events and associations such as Law360, the American Bar Association, Claims & Litigation Management Alliance, Defense Research Institute, Insurance Business America, and Insurance Journal.

Clients say they “trust Jodi to handle the most complex and high-value claims because she is proactive, adept at anticipating the needs of her clients, and she consistently delivers excellent results.”   Clients value Jodi’s ability to “easily extrapolate difficult concepts into high-level executive summaries, which enables clients to make decisions on financial exposure and risk management” and “understand the ‘big picture’ business implications of her recommendations.”
